Tech nerds and Apple enthusiasts collectively orgasmed yesterday after Steve Jobs‘ announcements. We recap what you can expect from Apple in the coming months after the jump.

While Apple’s announcements may have been relatively surprise-free, that doesn’t take away from the fact that we’ll all be seeing a new brand of iPod very, very soon. One improvement users can expect: the iPod tv will be coming to you at a much lower price. Given that the device really hasn’t hit the spot with consumers, Apple will be slashing prices from $299 to $99 and will be offering 99-cent TV rentals. The iPod Touch will also be getting a makeover so that it more closely resembles an iPhone (you know, just without the phone part). The Nano will also be changed a bit, switching to a touchscreen as opposed to the classic wheel.

Not going to lie, I’m a little excited about some of these changes. I’m a pretty big Apple groupie, so something tells me I’ll be shelling out a lot of cash for a few upgrades in the coming months.

A while ago we showed you an awesome video featuring self-lacing sneakers. Turns out that Nike thought it was just as awesome and has filed for a patent on the design. Are you having “Back to the Future” flashbacks yet, because I definitely am. Find out more after the jump.

Nike filed the patent last year, including an abstract that reads:

An article of footwear with an automatic lacing system is disclosed. The automatic lacing system provides a set of straps that can be automatically opened and closed to switch between a loosened and tightened position of the upper. The article further includes an automatic ankle cinching system that is configured to automatically adjust an ankle portion of the upper.

Oh snap! I’m about to get excited. Your Air Jordans are about to be hella tricked out.

So just how much will this totally badass machine cost you. That would be around $65,000. Eh, maybe this thing isn’t so cool after all…who are we kidding, this thing is amazing!

Manhattan Criminal Court judge Michael Gerstein has ruled that the Palin and Obama condoms that two street vendors in New York were selling for the company Practice Safe Policy are not protected under the Constitution. Judge Mike said:

“The fact that the clever marketing of these products is tied to current events does not, by itself, entitle them to full constitutional protection.”

“[Practice Safe Policy] is also now advertising Oil Spill Condoms, ‘Drill Without the Spill.’ Such activity seems more clearly focused on marketing a brand rather than engaging in fully protected speech.”

What a shame. These were actually some of the more creative latex friends on the market. The Palin version featured the tagline “When Abortion is Not an Option,” while the Obama version boasted an “Ultimate Stimulus Package” message. Guess we’ll just have to order these babies online if we want to tap that ass with some political correctness.
