Bikini Basketball Brings Soft-Core Porn to the Basketball Court [Video]

Now this is ridiculous. We can get down with the Lingerie Basketball League, but the Bikini Basketball Entertainment league? For some reason it feels more pornographic to us than the Lingerie League. Maybe it’s the creepy point-of-view-porno-soft-voice-commentary in the video that tips the BBE into soft-core porn territory. Or maybe it’s because you have to pay to watch them play on the Internet!

Details:

Bikini Basketball Entertainment presents our weekly Internet PayPer View show that will have our players in games, bikini photoshoots, appearances at events, the players giving updates on upcoming events.

We get that with the NBA locked out dudes want to watch basketball, but is this necessary? Again, we’re OK with the Lingerie Basketball League, since the game is actually played on the hardwood and the girls wear “uniforms.” Maybe uniforms are all it takes. Whatever it is, we need to be convinced here, BBE, that this is legit. Sell us on it!

LeBron James Gets Dunked On By Asian Kid; Crowd Politely Responds [Video]

My favorite part of this video is not that LeBron James turned the ball over and then got dunked on. Nor is it when the backboard smokes up or, as expected, the inevitable turnover on the other end of the court by LeBron. My favorite part is how the crowd responds to the dunk. They are so very polite. One thing’s for sure, this ain’t Rucker Park.

CC Sabathia Makes His ‘Field of Dreams’ Selections and Then Talks to Us About the NBA Lockout

On Wednesday we were invited to sit down and speak with Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City to talk about the Pepsi Max “Field of Dreams” campaign in which fans are asked to vote for an 11-man dream team to compete against a team compiled of fans.

Generally we are of the cynical belief that most sponsored athletes are simply going through the motions when speaking with the media, but we give Sabathia a ton of credit because he seemed legitimately into the questions being lobbed his way. Maybe because he’s become numb to the opt-out questions or maybe it’s because he’s got bigger things to worry about–the NBA lockout!

We appreciate Sabathia answering a few questions from us, and urge you to take the time to vote for your “Field of Dreams” Pepsi Max team. Hey, you might be able to suit-up against some of the all-time greats.

The Best Dunk Contest You Will See Today: Kenny Dobbs Vs. Exile [Video]

What NBA lockout? Between the Lingerie Basketball League, Kevin Durant dropping knowledge at Rucker Park and Brandon Jennings making dudes look foolish, basketball is alive and well! At least that’s what we’re telling ourselves.

Check this, though. Two of the world’s greatest dunkers, Kenny Dobbs and Exile, took part in a Slam Dunk Contest this weekend. And, as expected, it was as rim-rocking a rim-rocking event. Dobbs, who stands at 6’3″, ended up defeating the 5-foot, 11-inch Exile. But in the end, it was us viewers who were the real winners.

This is almost too perfect. We love that Brian Wilson, of the world champion San Francisco Giants, was himself when the Giants met with President Obama at the White House on Monday. It’s also good to see, however, that he didn’t wear his spandex tuxedo, which he made famous at this month’s ESPY awards.

Sepak Tekraw, AKA Kung Fu Volleyball, Is a Real Sport [Video]

Our friends over at Giggty Greg posted this video, and to be honest we haven’t been able to stop watching it. The sport is actually called Sepak Tekraw, but you’re better off calling it “Kung Fu Volleyball.”

There’s only one rule to this game: no hands! Well, that’s not true. There’s more than one rule, but the one you need to know is: no hands!

We’re pretty sure we’d be terrible at this game, seeing as we already pulled a groin muscle watching the video. But we are happy enough to sit on the sidelines and watch.

Roger Clemens Trial: Jury Selection Edition

I’m just as confused about the Roger Clemens trial as you are, so don’t think you’re alone on this. What I do know is that they are in the middle of selecting a jury. Note to potential jurors, do not ask for autographs!

The best part of the trial thus far is the list of possible major league witnesses. Aside from his teammate and snitch Andy Pettite, other ex-players who might testify are David Cone, Wade Boggs, Phil Garner and Woody Williams. Not the most impressive bunch, but it leads me to wonder whether or not Boggs will eat fried chicken prior to his appearance.

In order to not confuse you, I figured I’d let the experts fill you in on where we are in the Clemens trial. Plus, I give you all the YouTube evidence you need to prove that Clemens did to steroids. Think, Mike Piazza.

Funny Or Die Presents ‘Field of Dreams 2′: NFL Lockout [Video]

This is just what we needed!

The funny or dead folks over at Funny or Die have put together a NFL lockout ‘Field of Dream’s’ parody video. It stars a number of NFL stars, along with everyone’s favorite werewolf  Taylor Lautner as he tries to bring back the NFL. There’s also a great cameo at the end. Oh, and a shoutout needs to go to Marielle Jaffe. Nice.

We look forward to a possible NBA version in the near future. Maybe some ‘Rudy 2: Electric Boogaloo’ type of jam?
