Why must it be a black and white “thing”? While I understand the feelings on womeno f color having been ridiculed over many years, and the offensive message it sends to women of color when we see such things, take race out and allow women of different shapes and sizes to be appreciated. At the end of the day you are attacking women, but fail to realize the damage that you are doing to one another. It is not women who filled you with such defensive manners, but men. Men have made us this way. So why hate another woman for being insecure about her body? Her hair? If it was a womens world we would embrace our uniqueness, not criticise it. It’s not “imitating a women of color”. That’s absurd. Women of color are ALL WOMEN who not “white”. Include in that Asian, Black, Hispanic, etc. Women have become puppets to what men want. Why do you think you go out an get a weave done? For another woman? Or for your man to find you appealing? Why do we bleach our skin? Look at Lil Kim. Why do we….? What more can you come up with? Women are under constant scrutiny. We fail to see how we hold one another down and give in to what men desire. It’ s a fantasy world for them and we feel pressure to keep it that way.
