The World's Biggest Burger Is Pretty Exciting

A 90 kg hamburger is sure a whole lot of meat and awesomeness. Find out more about the world’s largest burger after the jump.

If you’re looking for a reason to head down under, then this may very well be the best excuse known to man to visit Australia. Sydney cafe owners, Joe and Iman El-Ajouz decided to get very creative and cook up what is believed to be the biggest burger ever. Wondering what goes into making the world’s biggest slab of meaty goodness, well here goes: 120 eggs, 150 slices of cheese, 1.5 kg of beetroot, 2.5 kg of tomatoes and almost 2 kg of lettuce. Sounds delish if you ask us.

As for the logistics of cooking the world’s largest burger, that got a little tricky. Iman told Reuters:

“Just flipping the patty was the main challenge for us, but it all went well. My husband had to prepare special metal holders and a metal plate, he had one at the bottom one at the top, locked them together and they flipped the burger with that.”

Despite this being a very strange undertaking, that is absolutely awesome. For those of your hoping to score your very own extraordinarily large burger, get ready to shell out a good deal of cash from your paycheck: The burger is going for about $1,220 a pop.
