Xander From Buffy The Vampire Slayer Gets In Drunken Scuffle With Police

It’s Xander! Ok, so his name is really Nicholas Brendon, but the majority of TV viewers know him as Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s sidekick on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” And needless to say since most of the world still knows him as that dorky dude from Buffy, he hasn’t had much of a career since the show ended, so this probably the most attention he’s received in a while. Apparently Nicholas decided to have a few too drinks many while galavanting around Venice, CA and started causing some trouble. It was only a matter of time before the police showed up and an intoxicated Nicholas got a little fiesty.

Channeling his inner vampire slayer, the actor took a swing at police. But because he isn’t a vampire slayer, he missed…horribly. That’s when, in very Xander-like fashion, Nicholas began to run away from the po po. But unfortunately for him they whipped out the trusty old taser and he hit the ground. He is now being brought up on vandalism charges, though interestingly enough, no assault (or attempted assault) charges have been filed against him for his swing at the cops.

A bit of advice for former 90s teen stars who are trying to regain any semblance of pop culture relevance. Attacking police or drunkenly stumbling about after a long night at the bar might not be the best way to get attention.
