No. 1 Alabama Wins BCS National Championship
To be honest Texas was screwed from the start. Within minutes of the start of the BCS Bowl, superstar quarterback Colt McCoy sustained a shoulder injury that sidelined him for the remainder of the game. While it looked as if Alabama was going to blow the Longhorns out of the water by the start of the second half, it was Colt McCoy backup Garrett Gilbert who gave the Crimson Tide a brief reprieve. The redshirted freshman helped Texas score two touchdowns in the third, bringing the game to a close 24-21. But alas, this small bit of redemption was not enough to fend off Bama’s defense and Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram. Two turnovers later, the game was pretty much over and I’m sure beer cans and shot glasses were being raised all over the great state of Alabama. Check out a video of Colt McCoy talking about missing the Bowl and his injury after the jump.

I am so proud of Colt McCoy and the Longhorns. I love to hear a young man say that he still gives God the glory even when things are going bad. What a testimony! I know God has a bright future in store for Colt. It was a tough test of faith, but Colt more than passed it.
So happy that I came across your site .
