Neil Diamond Does The Chanukah Song…And It's Horrible

Just a warning…this may ruin Chanukah for you. The Jewish Elvis himself, Neil Diamond, decided to remake Adam Sandler‘s Festival of Lights classic “The Chanukah Song,” in what can only be described as a disastrous marriage between South Park-like graphics and…singing. This video has me speechless. The beauty of Adam Sandler’s original version (and the two versions that came after it), was in his raspy-voiced, frat boy-like delivery of the lyrics. Neil Diamond’s version is too finely tuned and the cheesy graphics that accompany the video only help to make it more of a disappointing cover. And let’s not even talk about the half-assed homage to Adam Sandler stuffed in after Paul Newman and Goldie Hawn.
