Carrie Underwood Goes for the Tony Romo Jugular

In the latest issue of Esquire, country’s sexiest star Carrie Underwood talks about her ex-Tony Romo and and why she’s staying the hell out of politics. Find out what she said and check out some shots of this singing stunner after the jump.

Country’s sultry sweetheart (no, not Taylor Swift–got a few more years until that one’s legal, boys), recently talked to the magazine about whether her hit “Cowboy Casanova” was about her ex-Tony Romo. Carrie says not so much:

“No. I would never immortalize a guy that did me wrong. I would never give him that much credit.”

Oh snap! Carrie then talks about how she’s not really down with being the next politically outspoken celeb:

“Americans don’t need Carrie Underwood telling them who to vote for. They’re smarter than that.”

That is probably the wisest words I’ve heard come out of a multi-million dollar mouth in a long, long time. While I’m not doubting Carrie’s intelligence here, I’m glad some celebrities can realize the value in staying in their own lane. Plus, she’s hot, so most people are likely to listen and might start making their own voting decisions. Hooray!
