Important Fashion News: Hard Guys Wear Skirts Now

HARD

Like most men, I know a ton of things about fashion and spend as much of my time as possible caring about it.  But I’m learning new things every day!  For instance, have you heard that skirts are for guys now?  True story.  Skirts, or as male wearers prefer to call them, “legs shirts” are a super hot new thing in Japan, and they’re coming to a man’s body near you.  Possibly even your own!  From an English-language paper in Japan:

Called “the skirt boys,” or “skirt tribe,” the skirt-wearing men of Tokyo are beginning to get some attention from the fashion world.  And so, though it may be a little rude, I have to ask: How is this different from being a cross-dresser?

Hey, some guys join the lacrosse team, other guys join the skirt tribe.  To each his own.  Not everyone has to be a pants boy.  But in answer to the hard-hitting and ever-thorny cross-dressing question…

One of the skirt boys made this distinction:

When asked how wearing skirt is different than cross-dressing, Shana says, “Cross-dressers are people who want to be girls. I’m not wearing this because it’s what girls wear, but because I like the line and the texture of the material.”

He claims the skirt was inspired by the robes worn in the Harry Potter movies.  Fortunately for the rest of us who want to wear skirts but just aren’t quite ready to commit to the skirt tribe, Halloween is days away, and we can all dress up as “a man wearing a skirt.”  Cool costume!

    I think they mean Kilt…

  3. That woman is just gorgeous, I mean most seems to think she is dumb but that’s just an act, it does require some skills to become one of the most famous people in the world.

A kilt is a skirt and I don’t think it’s not necessary to be a famous person to wear a skirt. Kilts is for a tradition to wear, kilt-styled skirts and skirts worn by men is just for more comfort. Good choice to do so.

You have to be brave to be one of the first strolling around in your skirt or dress, that’s all. I believe we have to see a new man, a change and I am curious what is coming up. The old “man-like picture” is dead, finally.

The stereotyped male is moving toward a new style and is on the way to de-sexualize clothes – thankfully they doing the same as women already started it 60 years ago.

I like to see more men skirted and expressing their own personality, not a gender role picture.
