ZZ Top Meet With Macedonian Prime Minister for Important Rock Summit
When ZZ Top roll up to your hole-in-the-wall Iron Curtain nation in their cherry-red ZZ Top Eliminator hot rod, you’d damn well better send you primest minister to greet them. Macedonian Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski knows what I’m talking about:
“We came to throw a great party and make lots of noise”, the iconic US band said during their audience with the premier.
At least they weren’t spitting Bono game at him. ZZ Top understands you’re trying your best to get into NATO, and ZZ Top didn’t come here to give you a hard time about it. The Macedonian PM is apparently quite the star-orbiter:
Rock stars have not been strangers to the premier’s office. When he performed in Skopje in 2006, influential punk rock icon Iggy Pop also stopped in to pay Gruevski a short visit.
Prime ministers have the coolest job!
