New Rammstein Music Video Is Just Porn With a Song
Innuendo in rock music and videos? What is this, 1894? This ain’t your grandpa’s “Let Me Put My Love Into You,” folks. This is Rammstein. Excuse me, RAAAAMMMSTEEEINNN!!! This is a band that named themselves after an airshow disaster that killed 71 people. Their new single, released yesterday, is titled, simply, “P*ssy.” Can you guess what the song is about? You don’t have to, because the video explains it for you.
The vid was shot by Jonas Akerlund, a very respected director who has worked with everyone from Madonna to Metallica. (He did Lady GaGa’s “Paparazzi” video earlier this year.) Jonas Akerlund was probably in the studio pitching his video idea to Rammstein, when one of the Rammstein guys interrupted him. ”Look, I know you are very respected director dat hast vorked vith everyone from Madonna to Metallica, but I am not thinking American audiences to understand what is meant by ‘bratwurst in dein sauerkraut.’ So how about instead of making a music video, we just film ourselves having sex with a bunch of models?”
“No, that is not how a music video works, despite my best efforts.” said Jonas Akerlund. ”You have to sing a song.” (That link is NSFW, folks.)
“I guess we could sing the song. Sure, we could definitely sing the song, no problem. While having the sex with the models, I mean.”
I think it’s supposed to be a “satirical” take on sex tourism? (“I can’t get laid in Germany.”) Each of the band members plays a different sex tourism “stereotype”: the playboy, the cowboy, the “she-he” (they definitely drew straws for that one). And apparently, none of this was faked.
Obviously Not Safe For Work Video here.

I`ve just saw that new Rammstein video and i have to say that it is one of the best videos i`ve seen in a while. Those Germans are crazy as hell. They`ve got a lot balls putting themselves out like that. I know that somewhere in South Florida, Luke is kicking himself for not making a video like P*ssy back in the day.
Your journalistic skills are terrible! Please don’t post any more articles about stuff you know so very little about.
A nice trick is to go to the sources of things:

(Interview with Åkerlund (spelled with an å, by the way) and the band about the song and the video.)
Found your site through google search. I have enjoyed reading your posts. Looking forward to more. Thanks!
You fail at writing articles. Very bias and you used quotes that weren’t real.
No, its more like Rammstein trolled the fuck out of the metal and music community as a whole with this video, and this song. Successfully, might I add, and more than likely for some well deserved LULZ.
You can’t possibly think Rammstein were being serious though, can you? I mean, they don’t take themselves seriously at all for the most part, that much is obvious if you ask me, or anyone. But no doubt, they’re a pretty talented bunch of musicians. They’ve made serious songs, [actual!] love songs, ridiculous songs, and hilarious songs. Obviously, this is a satirical, bullshit jab at sex tourism among other things, that falls into the HILARIOUS category. Lindemann’s lyrics can be very beautiful at times; he’s an interesting poet. Some of even the simplest shit he’s written is complete mindfuck. His voice is unique. And this is not a good example of either of his talents, or that of his bandmates…
What I’m saying is you probably didn’t know anything about Rammstein before this post. Jonas directed a video for R+ long before this one and the one he did for Gaga. He’s also always been a crap director with crap ideas and crap videos.
Awesome post, very nice.
That chick is just beauitful, I mean a lot seems to think she is not to clever but that’s just an act, it does require some skills to become one of the most famous people in the world.
