"Twilight" Corn Maze To Be the Most Fun "Twilight"-Related Activity Since Crying
Every year, Black Island Farms in Utah makes a big ol’ corn maze. Fun for the whole family, but this year there’s a little something extra for little Suzy:
Aerial photos show that two separate “Twilight”-themed maze patterns at Black Island Farms, 3178 S. 3000 West, have already been cut into the corn — a “Team Jacob” and a “Team Edward.” (In the movie, Bella can choose Edward or Jacob as her boyfriend.)
Good luck trying to choose! How much does it cost to fly to Utah, again? If you wanted to see pictures of Twilight characters made out of corn plants, you’re this close to doing so… after the jump. Plus: this year’s theme sure beats last year’s.
A side design in the corn depicts a KUTV reporter or anchorman holding a microphone…
Each fall, the farm hosts a Harvest Festival and Cornfield Maze — Utah agri-tourism at its best, with hayrides, bonfires and a haunted maze. The farm also offers a tour for schoolchildren and has a farmers market.
Last year’s corn maze featured a Ronald McDonald House theme.
“Ronald McDonald House” does not actually refer to a McD’s franchise here so much as a subgenre of house music closely related to acid house, but with faster beats. Considered a progenitor of Mr. Softee House. That’s what the corn maze was. Ronald McDonald at a rave.
The corn people were like, we had to work overtime on this year’s corn maze to top last year’s maze in not making sense, but when we thought of depicting two sexually abstinent teenage vampires being interviewed by a local news anchor, we knew we were on to something.
Bah. Back in my day, every year we got the same corn maze design – an old dog being put down – and we didn’t complain about it none.
