Video: Ben Stiller Tries To Teach Mickey Rooney Twitter

Mickey Rooney has been old forever.  He was old twenty years ago, he was old thirty years ago, and he’s basically up to the neck in oldness now.  As such, like many very old people, he’s out of touch with a few things.  Especially?  Twitter.  Ben Stiller (not getting any younger himself) attempts to explain Twitter to a man who grew up in the Roaring ’20s, fought Nazis, and married Ava Gardner.

Mickey Rooney demands to know: “You find this fun and interesting??”  

After Ben Stiller describes a typical weird TMI tweet from one of his tweet-buddies, Mickey Rooney reflects: “… I don’t find that entertaining.  It’s not wholesome!”

Mickey Rooney comes from a time when young people had fun in genuine ways, like racing against trains in their automobiles and making their own gin and telling women that they’d be leaving to fight in a war the next morning, so any penetration would be appreciated.  You bet reading 140 words from a guy who just perfected his tuna casserole isn’t fun, interesting, entertaining, or wholesome to a 88-year-old.  Funny video, though:
