Brett Favre Is Seriously Going to Play Football Again, For the Vikings
Give Brett Favre credit for having absolutely no idea when his abilities have crapped out on him and he should by no means be allowed on a football field anymore. This will happen, eventually: “Come on coach, let me play!” ”No, Brett Favre. You are 72 years old and you can’t even put your pads on without the help of a nurse. Also, you died four years ago.” On the other hand, Brett Favre already became a washed-up alcoholic while still in the game – what does he have to look forward to in retirement?
So off he goes to the Vikings, whom he joined today:
No less than 90 minutes later, Favre was on the field in his familiar No. 4 jersey with purple shorts and a purple helmet, a vision that has had Packers fans cringing about for months. He shook hands with a few of his new teammates and quickly began throwing.
Everyone in Minnesota is just pleased as peaches to have him! Even the governor was all gosh-golly-gee about it. Favre immediately celebrated his new franchise by having tons of diarrhea everywhere.
“It’s going to be good for the team. It’s going to be good for the state. It’s going to be exciting,” a giddy Gov. Tim Pawlenty said after a speech.
Indeed, Vikes fans hated Favre back when he was lethal, but gosh, how can you bring yourself to hate the lovable, curmudgeonly old grandpa of the NFL? Also, when he plays for your team. Like he said not so much as one month ago, about his decision to not unretire:
“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Favre told ESPN then. “I didn’t feel like physically I could play at a level that was acceptable.”
But now he can, see. That makes sense. Also joining him on Team Born In1969 And Still Playing is Junior Seau.

He’s not that old, consider Montana’s, Elway’s, Moon, and Gannon’s ages before they retired. He’s still better than anyone the Viking’s have, or GB, or NYJ.
I hope Favre steps it up this season and does well for his team.
