A friend asked me last night, “What exactly is a viral video?”  Easy to explain, in terms of metrics: it’s a video that a lot of sites, especially content aggregation sites, get wind of and post, often to the delight of many internet users.  Harder to explain, in terms of appeal: after the jump, what a viral video looks like.
