William Shatner Performs Sarah Palin's Poem Speech
Sarah Palin gave her resignation speech this past Sunday, after listening to it I thought it would have gone a bit better had I been tripping on acid because it didn’t make a lick of since. I was not the only person to think this because Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien noticed the striking similarities between her speech and the sort of terrible poetry that gets read during an open mic night. Lucky for us, he brought in the gifted William Shatner to breathe the life into it that Sarah Palin was incapable of doing.

Conservatives complain that no one will leave this woman alone, but it’s just easy comedy. They read her words verbatim and it’s hilariously ridiculous. It’s bad when they’re mocking you by quoting you.
I have read that she attended 5 colleges, and quit them all. Quit her job as Mayor and now Govenor. [SIC] If this is true, I do not know. But she is a quitter of a high office for no yet released valid reason.
And to listen to her talk, I want to see the results of a drug test as bad as the Wing Nuts want to see “Barry’s” long form birth certificate, despite the fact the State of Hawaii says was digitized and none of them exist anymore. [His birth announcement 4 days after he was hatched, right there in the paper – MY GAWD the long reaching arm of those vast left wing conspirators!!!
Na, the birth announcement in the newspapers don’t prove anything. They just reprint the list of Certificates of Live Birth that they got from the state.

You’re the first person I’ve seen make the claim that a Long Form Birth Certificate doesn’t exist because of computerization. Not sure where you got that from, I’d like to see the source.
I’ve been reading about this issue, and it’s strange that the defender’s of Obama spend their time trying to claim that the Certificate of Live Birth is authentic, which diverts attention away from the Long Form Birth Certifciate. They never seem to want to address the difference between the two.
I have no way of knowing what is going on here, but last week when that National Guard guy refused to go to the front until Obama proved he was legit, and suddenly they said, never mind you don’t have to go….that made me decide to read up on the whole topic.

Couple of interesting things there, first the President of CNN is now on record ordering what content Lou Dobbs presents on his show. But that’s off point.
It looks like CNN’s “researchers” found an newpaper article where Janice Okubo says the state has gone paperless.

In the article Janice Okubo verifies this statement by Dr. Fukino, the head of the Health Department. So in Nov. 2008 she is claiming that they do have Obama’s orginal Birth Certificate on record.
yeah, but they don’t claim to have a paper document. the database is probably just a series of informational text files on a server somewhere. i doubt that there are images saved of the original certificates showing seals and signatures because you can show your certificate of live birth for any legal reason you would need that sort of thing. can’t imagine anyone working at the hawaii registry anticipated this situation when they chose to go digital.
I think the point of the Long Form BC is that it would show 1. What Hospital he was born in

Additionally, between 2000 and 2005, the time Hawaii went digital, I worked as an Industry Consultant for a major companny in the field of electronic document managment systems. I used to design and implement EDMS systems. I know the major document capture systems and I can tell you it would be highly unlikely that the process didn’t involve scanning documents to .tiff files and storing them in Cold storage. For Hawaii to screen scrape the scanned images into data columns and to discard the scans would be pretty doubtful.

it’s been validated now by the hawaiian registry, the government and governor of the state, court rulings, and now it has been officially accepted by the u.s. house of representatives (unanimously). why doesn’t he release it? he may just feel that he shouldn’t have to, as he’s proved the legitimacy of the birth certificate to as many officials as any other president did, probably more.
When a question about John McCain’s birth was raised, they immediatly released a Long Form and the story was ended. Here ya’ go, no big deal.
No courts have ruled on this. They’ve just dismissed cases because the people didnt have standing to bring the suit.
The only thing that has been proved beyond a doubt is that the President of CNN News ordered Lou Dobbs to report false information. Further eroding CNN’s standing as a legitimate news agency.
It’s baffling that if there is in fact a long form birth certificate on file, the Obama campagin would not release it.

SOLDIER FOR THE LORD
She’s a soldier for the Lord
Who’s been up and who’s been down
Though while on the battlefield
She has never turned around.
She’ll face more than flesh and blood
With the devil’s evil hoard.
But they shall not steal her soul
For she swings our Lord’s swift sword.
She wears all of God’s armor
With helmet, breastplate and shield.
As Satan’s arrows fly by
From his archers of the field.
The devil casts his dark net
Over any he may charm.
He’ll lead them from salvation
With his hands upon their arm.
She battles evil daily
And prays that you’ll join her.
She gives new hope for this world

BESIDES LOVE MEN NEED FISHING
AND FOR BOTH MOST ARE WISHING
Besides love men need fishing
And for both, most are wishing
Catching trophies chosen best
To be envied by the rest.
Fishing is a game of sport
Loved by all, both tall and short.
We must fool the fish’s eye
If we plan to stir and fry.
Some use boats while others wade
As they fish the sun or shade.
Ice-cold drinks help pass the day
While life’s troubles fade away.
Most men feel they’ve everything
With their rod, hook, cork and string.
Be it river, pond or lake
We all pray our line won’t break.
RIVER FISHING
After school my friend and I would walk through town to the river
Soon to bait our trout lines with cotton cake, crawdads and liver.
Sometimes we used baby bullheads, perch or great big frogs
Tossing out into the current next to a snag of logs.
At times we would disrobe and wade out in the stream
Attaching lines to anything hoping to hook our dream.
One day I made some doe bait and stuffed it in my sock
Attached five hooks, hundred pound line and tied it to a rock.
When I bragged to my classmates they snickered and called me fool
Till the next day they followed me to the river after school.
I made my way to the water my path was a fallen tree
Something big was on my line it was easy for us to see.
I tried to pull it in but the current was too strong
Three boys ran to assist me as we began to sing a song.
Going fishing instead of wishing for the granddaddy of them all
If we land this monster will give the sport shows a call.
It seemed like forever before our beast was ashore
Eighty-five pounds of flathead cat as big as a closet door.
We shared his steaks at a fish fry, food for heart and soul
Took his head and nailed it high for all to see on a pole.
For a time we ceased our casting instead we chased the girls
After marriage with our kids we again fished the swirls.
Too many of my friends have past and the years have raced by
Though here I sit with rod in hand a fisherman till I die.

SARAH PALIN POEM = I LOVE AMERICA
America, the abundant, the place I was born
I’ll cherish till the day I die.
Where the bones of past heroes lie buried in the ground
Who loved her the same as I.
Her mountains are so tall they reach for the sky
With prairies where the green grasses grow.
There’s billions of trees where wild birds nest
With creatures that flourish below.
That blue gold called water with which we are blessed
As raindrops or crystallized snow
Changes to rivers and fresh water lakes
While the winds of our seasons blow.
There’s the haunt of a whistle from a lonely freight train
Racing on ribbons of steel
With the harvest of farms and from the factories
Balanced in a box on a wheel.
Some cities have buildings a hundred stories tall
Structures of concrete, glass and steel.
A statue in a harbor, a present from France
Describes how inside, we feel.
That flag on the moon with red and white stripes
Proves America’s dreams come true.
A country of heroes who line up to protect
