Russian Man Could Drink Any Poison in the World, Except for the One He Couldn’t
Dmitry Butakov had a gift. Dissolvent, acetone, mercury, coolant: he never met a toxic substance he couldn’t drink. The legends said there weren’t no poison in the world too strong for Dmirty Butakov. He could take on more Windex ‘n a Moscow tenement, the locals would claim, sitting around a rough-hewn wooden bar table in their Russian hats. He could drink more jet fuel ‘n a MiG-35. He could drink the blood right out of David Hasselhoff, and can’t no one survive David Hasselhoff blood, ‘ceptin’ maybe David Hasselhoff! (Provincial Russians talk like this.)
But when Dmitry Butakov tried to drink 300 grams of automobile antifreeze, Dmitry Butakov immediately knew something was wrong.
After drinking 300 grams of anti-freezing liquid and chasing it down with coca-cola, Dmitry Butakov from the central Russian town of Lipetsk had only time to give a few interviews to dozens of Russian and foreign journalists specially invited to witness the unique occasion, before feeling sick. An ambulance took him to a hospital where the 44-year-old “coolant glutton” died of severe blood poisoning” several days later.
That will happen!
Butakov claimed to possess supernatural abilities, boasting to be able to start his “lunch” with a glass of acetone, take a ball of mercury as a main course and chase it down with a bottle of cooling fluid – all with a close-up TV camera aimed at him.
A successful entrepreneur in the past, Dmitry discovered his outstanding abilities while serving behind bars.
Even medical experts had to admit that his body possessed unusual abilities. One day, after swallowing some dissolvent and chasing it down with toadstools in front of journalists, he offered to have his blood tested. A lethal doze of poison was indeed found in his bloodstream but did not seem to have penetrated his system and had left his cells unaffected, toxicologists confirmed.
Sadly, the world has lost another idiot.
Because in Soviet Russia… government poisons YOU!!!
(That’s just a statement of fact, more than anything else.)
