Crazy Brock Lesnar, Georges St. Pierre Crush at UFC 100

Saturday’s UFC 100 mixed martial arts fighting championships featured some pretty unhinged performances by some extremely unhinged dudes.  The heavyweight title went to Brock Lesnar, who took down Frank Mir in short order:

Lesnar took Mir down, pinned him against the cage and pummeled his face until referee Herb Dean shoved his way in to stop the fight at 1 minute, 48 seconds.

Mir was clearly hurt. Lesnar taunted him, which brought booing while Joe Rogan interviewed Lesnar after the fight.

“I love it!” Lesnar screamed back at his detractors. “Keep going, keep going!”

He was then corralled into his special sanity jacket and given 100 cc’s of elephant tranquilizer.  But not before getting off one more nonsensical insult!

“Frank Mir had a horseshoe up his a–,” Lesnar said. “I told him that a year ago. I pulled the sum b—- out and beat him over the head with it.”

Only Brock Lesnar knows what that means, but it sounds like something he lifted right out of the San Francisco penguin playbook.  Mir responded,

“He did a good job. He neutralized the stand-up,” Mir said. “I got against the cage and made a dumb mistake. I let a guy that big and strong catch my wrist, and I guess I still got more stuff to work on.”

And George St. Pierre, who won the welterweight division, now has 14 wins, the fourth-most in UFC history.  I know comparing fighting to the Closet Waltz is a kind of a layup, but just read this description of the fight from ESPN:

St. Pierre hurt Alves on the mat in the second. After luring Alves into striking, St. Pierre took him down and mounted him. He held the position only for a moment, but he busted open the American Top Team product’s nose from there and also battered him from inside the guard.

Alves had a better round for most of the third. He got his hands going and kicked well, but St. Pierre knocked him down with a straight right with roughly 35 seconds remaining. The welterweight champ then pounced on Alves with more strikes before the period closed.

A quick and easy takedown from St. Pierre started the fourth. The French-Canadian moved into the mount at one point but later missed an armbar and gave up the top position. Alves could have won the round with his offense from the top, but St. Pierre likely stole it by getting to his feet, finishing a takedown and taking Alves’ back.

Between rounds, St. Pierre told trainer Greg Jackson that he had pulled his groin.

All that busting, mounting, taking down, and battering from the inside can wear a groin out, you see.

Were you watching the same fight? Alves had NO good rounds, GSP took him down 9 times and made him his bitch. Alves didn’t even hit him with his purse. GSP pulled his groin from beating the living piss out of him for so long. Go GSP!!!

  2. UFCissy says:

GSP is perhaps the most dominant figher, maybe even better fit than Anderson Silva. Brock is a dumbass. He needs to beat better competition than Mir. His ground skills are weak to none. The only advantage he has is size and strength; no technique or skill. If he were to fight Silva I’d all but guarantee he’d get his ass kicked — I don’t care how big he is!

he’s like that chimp that ate that woman’s face off….dumb and aggressive…

this really puts his ncaa career in a bad light

Some of the UFC fans are just fucking ignorant. Brock was a two time NCAA wrestling champion and trains in BJJ with Royce Gracie. To say he just has size, is the dumbest fucking thing ever. That’s like saying Michael Jordan could just jump.

  5. @Jason says:

Jason, please stfu and stop worshiping what little you think you may know! Obviously, your no student of mix martial art. Having watched any of his UFC matches, are you seriously going to try and tell me that you don’t see any of his flaws? Trains with Royce Gracie? BS! Never has he demonstrated anything close to what Gracie teaches! To suggest such is an insult! Here’s a typical Lesanr fight — bum rush your opponent with a flurry of punches, take him to the ground, lay on him, resort to ground and pound, start all over again. He’s strong, no one is denying that, but as a fighter, his technical skills suck ass! It’s only a matter of time… just like what happened to Kimbo Slice!

  6. What GSP is doing is smart and Anderson is the best in the world what does he have to prove.

  7. Oz says:

BS eh? Maybe you should read this? And there are a few other articles if you look hard enough and a video interview for proof. Yes I know this is old but it needed to be set straight.
