M.J.'s Fans Mourn Deeply…At The Wrong Star

Michael Jackson is a music icon, and the fact that he’d not done much with his career for the past 10 years has not stopped a legion of fans to come out of the woodwork.  However, in the bid to pay the King of Pop tribute, these fans made one simple mistake that just about erases their good intentions.

According to the scribes at the LA Times, Michael’s fans gathered on the Hollywood Walk of Fame around the wrong Michael Jackson’s star.  Instead of gathering around the fallen pop star’s star they were actually at the star of KABC radio show host Michael Jackson, same name, similar medium, but totally wrong person.  The real Michael Jackson’s star is located near the entrance of Grauman’s Chinese Theater, which happened to covered by scaffolding in preparation for the premiere of the shock comedy, Bruno.  This is probably what prompted fans to gather at the other Michae’s star.

I suppose, if it’s the same name, and they were both on the radio it’s like the same thing, right?  I guess this is what fans in Los Angeles decided when they set up camp two blocks away from Michael Jackson’s actual star.  They could have just gone to his home or to his abandoned Neverland Ranch in Santa Barbara, but walking two blocks was easier and that’s the American way.
