Chris Brown Can Only Express His Sorrows in a Country Song

Hello, and a happy Memorial Day to you!  What’s the most American thing you can think of right now?  Is it Chris Brown recording a country song?  Me too!  Evidently Brown is weighing performing “Trapped in a Dream” on his next album.  According to Brown’s publicity/producer guy (tough job):

The song is “just feeling like you don’t want that dream to go away. Everybody has a dream and you’re in it, but you wake up and you’re like, ‘Oh, my God.’ You feel like you’re still in that dream.”

Like a dream where you’re a super A-list R&B musician and then you beat the sh*t out of your girlfriend who is also a famous musician and now all your fans have left you and no one wants to work with you and your career is functionally over before you’re legally able to drink?  Why, that would be a bad dream to be stuck in!  

Says the same dude working with Brown:

“Maybe we’ll see an appearance from Carrie Underwood or someone like that.” 

You’d better do it now, Carrie!  You wouldn’t like Chris Brown when he’s angry!  A follow-up song is also expected: “My Woman Broke My Heart with Text Messages and I Literally Thought the Best Way to Deal with That Was to Punch the Absolute F*ck Out of Her and Now I Got No Woman and No Career.”  It could also be adapted into a one-act play.

Recently, Ciara defended her decision to keep her Brown duet, “Turntables,” on her latest album, Fantasy Ride. ”I wanted to focus on the music and leave it at that, because it’s a record that I’ve had for a while, I love the way it sounds and it’s one of my most favorite records on the album,” she told MTV News. “And if I alter it, it’s not going to sound the same. So for me, really it’s nothing more than about the music, so I kept it there.”

She kept it there because she knew what was good for her!  Chris Brown: returning to the music industry using only his fists.
