Terrafugia Transition’s First Flight

Finally! A way for the common man to get around in the air without having to go to a major airport or charter a private jet.
It’s just the recession people. Who doesn’t have nearly $200,000 sitting around? A 20 hour course and 1700ft runway are needed, too. Here is a video of the first flight, earlier this month:
Seriously though, this is a huge step forward and a viable option for a few lucky people. Anyone who has this kind of cash, could turn a regional business trip, into a stroll around the Mid-west. It’s cruising speed of 115 mph is no Herculean task, but driven as a crow flies, that’s pretty efficient. You could go from Chicago to Alabama in 4 hours. Boston to Washington DC would leave you some time to briefly circle the sites (and get shot down in the process).
This “Transition” might not take-off for the masses, but it’s an interesting step toward public aviation.

^_^ And that’s a really big thumbs up to who ever agrees to spend that kind of money on this babe magnet.
