MacBook Air Competitor (at Half the Price)

A Japanese computer maker, MSI,  has just updated its X-slim laptops to have very similar size, power, and weight to the coveted MacBook Air, while retaining a  much more consumer friendly price tag.

You probably have MSI products in your house, but haven’t heard of them. The computer manufacturer has been around for a while, but has recently ramped up operations in the US and attempted to enter the competitive laptop market here.

Just millimeters thicker, 100 grams lighter, 200 Mhz slower, and essentially the same design, one could be easily convinced that it is merely a knock-off MacBook Air. Well, it kind of is.

The launch date is not confirmed yet, but we do know that this will sell between $700 & $1000, much cheaper than an Air.
