I always think the best accessory for a summertime outdoor party is the lighting.  Usually, I’m thinking tiki torches, but let’s face it, not only are they a danger for drunk people, but they’re also a pain to use.  As are streaming lights outside, nothing is uglier than inundating a cute outdoor party with electrical cords.

If you’re like me then here is the answer to your summertime partying needs, Outdoor Solar Lights by Ikea.  They’re magical, economical and eco-friendly–the perfect accessory for evenings in the up & coming summer evenings.

The lights are all powered by the sun and have LED bulbs, which consume 70 percent less energy and last more than 4 times longer than regular bulbs.  However, the lights use both replaceable and rechargeable batteries to keep them powered.  What makes them awesome is the fact that you cut down on power and rid your yard of unsightly electrical cords without having to run an electrical line underground, from your house to where you want an outlet.

Currently, Ikea does not have these bad boys in stock, but keep a lookout for the next couple of weeks because they’ll soon be in stock.  You can check their website to see when they start selling there, but I can tell you, these things are going to sell out quickly.  They’re energy efficient and relatively cheap, as most Ikea items are.  So keep a lookout for them!
