Movie News: Hollywood Has No Original Ideas; Total Recall Is Being Remade

I can’t even remember the last time Hollywood had a really good original idea.  If you can leave it in the comments.  With that being said, the morons that run the studios have decided that remaking the epic SciFi movie Total Recall is a really great idea.  I can barely express how terrible of an idea I think this is.  It is going to be some sort of cgi nightmare.

Total Recall was awesome for a lot of reason and not all of them had to do with the chick with three boobs.  The effects were cool, the plot twists were incredible and Arnold Schwarzenegger was actually superb in the role as the protagonist, Douglas Quaid/Houser.  The thought of some idiot casting director trying to a fill his shoes makes my head spin.

The Hollywood Reporter says the genius behind this idea is Neal H. Moritz.  You know him from producing such films as, I Am Legend, and he is currently also behind the box office remake of The Green Hornet.  I guess he’s never had an original idea in his life.  Ugh, I am going to die a little inside if this movie is remade and it ends up being terrible.  Even if it isn’t terrible it will be a crime against my childhood.
