Toyota’s Next Green Car To Be Made Out of Seaweed

Toyota‘s super popular hybrid, the Prius might have some inter company competition pretty soon. The car company recently revealed their plans for a concept car similar to the Prius that is even greener, with the body made out of seaweed.
For more details keep reading>>>The concept car is being called the 1/X, which is pronounced 1-x’th, because it’s carbon footprint is a fraction of the other cars out there. Only this car is even more green than the Prius because it makes the same type of gas mileage and the body is made up of seaweed making it a bioplastic.
…bioplastic allegedly produces up to 60 percent less carbon dioxide and uses about 30 percent less energy as well.
The 1/X might sound fantastic, but in reality the car might not be available for at least the next fifteen years. Too bad because what I want to drive is a car that looks like a piece of crap, doesn’t even sound like a car and is made out of disgusting seaweed. In case you care, the concept car will officially be shown at the Melbourne Motor Show this weekend.

not exactly the chick magnet the Prius is though.
hmmm? Wouldn’t Seaweed, being a plant, actually be one of the mechanisms by which mother Earth is trying to take Carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere and turn it back into oxygen?

Christ, the Mustang’s got better green credentials than the Prius.
