Douchebag of the Day: Sons Assaults Mom w/ Taco
Stories like this really fill me with rage. If there’s one thing you don’t mess with is mom!
Zachary Moir, 19, was arrested for assaulting his mother with a taco because she unplugged his Xbox after he ignored her when she told him to pause the game and go downstairs for dinner. He also pushed her and called her a bad name.
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) — A 19-year-old Deltona man is arrested for assaulting his own mother, with a taco. Dena Moir tells Fox 35 News her son, Zachary Moir, got out of control Wednesday night when she was calling him down for dinner. When he refused to stop playing his X-box and come down for dinner, Dena Moir says she went upstairs and unplugged the game, that’s when she says Zachary pushed her and called her a bad name. “I’ve been having trouble with him for awhile won’t work, wont’ go to school. He’s being rude and disrespectful. Pushing things to the limit as far as the violence.”
A few minutes later Dena says she was in the kitchen cleaning and cooking tacos for dinner when Zachary showed up. That’s when she says he slapped her arm and threw a taco in her face. “He went ahead and hit me with the taco and I got taco all over my shirt and kitchen. I’ve threatened to call police before. But anyway this time, I thought he went too far so I called police and he’s in jail now.”
Dena Moir called cops and said she wants to press charges. Moir says Zachary has tried to call several times, but she’s not picking up the phone yet. She says she’s going to let him sit in his jail cell in Volusia County for a few days to teach him a lesson.
There’s nothing more unattractive than a man who disrespects his mother. And it doesn’t need to be administered via name calling or taco flinging, either. Anyone who doesn’t take the time to spend time with the woman who sacrificed so much for them, that type of person is only capable of loving themselves. If he doesn’t love his mom enough to just hang out and chit-chat and help her out around the house, then chances are he’ll treat his partner the same way.
The problem here is the Mom. She just doesn’t repect her son as a human being. He’s 19 years old, if he doesn’t want to eat dinner at that exact moment, repect that. What could be more disrespectful then actually pulling the plug on the electronic device he is using while he is using it? This all shows that she doesn’t understand that he is not eight years old anymore.
Now, I know people will say…well…it’s her house. She cooks dinner for him, she does…blah blah blah and he isn’t grateful. I agree completely. But, here is the perfect case where she treats him like a child, then she complains that he doesn’t act like a man? Well treat him with some goddman respect then! And she is bitchin’ cuz he doesn’t work? Maybe we can get New Prez, Barrack Cliche Obama to call her up and inform her…THE COUNTRY IS IN THE MIDDLE OF GREATEST ECONOMIC CRISIS SINCE THE GREAT DEPRESSION! How is a childish 19 year old supposed to find a job with no skills?
Now, is she wants to tell him to get our of her house, that would be her right. He could always join the military, which might be good for him (although…obviously he ain’t passin’ no drug tests). But if she isn’t willing to tell him to get out of her house, then she needs to realize that he is a grown man, he’s down out and has no direction, but he’s still a grown man.
I would recommend, telling him he needs to get up at 8am every day, shower and leave and not come back until 6pm, monday through friday. Then act like he is doing something productive all day. Then if she wants him to do chores, she can ask him if he could help her and when he has some free time. If he starts helping her, then she can start letting him back in the house during the day.

I’ve been working since I was 15 because BS didn’t fly in my house. We weren’t treated like children, we were treated like human beings, which meant respect, PERIOD. I was admittedly troublesome, but never IN trouble or MADE trouble. I love my parents dearly and they love me back. Sure, we had moments and there was yelling, but we never got even close to trading blows. Throwing anything, let alone tacos, would have gotten my head kicked the fuck off. Same goes for you, son…
Moir needs to get off his ass, get a job, obey the rules of the house, and harden the fuck up. Raising hands against his mother is the sure path to douchebaggery.
The picture says it all. Usually, I wouldn’t be so quick to judge but the arrogant deameaner this kid exudes tells me that he’s just a disrespectful punk. At 19, he needs to either be looking for a job or doing something productive such as putting down the Xbox controler for a book, or further his education which I’m sure he’s lacking.
