UNC Still the Team to Beat; Super Saturday

UNC Still the Team to Beat
The UNC Tar Heel Men’s team was ranked #1 for the first 8 weeks of the season. The top-ranked team in the preseason polls as well, there was even a whisper of them running the gauntlet of a tough out of conference schedule and the ACC!
Two losses to smaller ACC programs (I guess that’s everyone) later, and the Tar Heels are still the team to beat in their opponents eyes. Yes, UConn is playing on par with UNC and Duke is having a good year with Coach K’s system. Pittsburgh and Wake Forest are great teams as well, BUT, come tournament time, they will all be in it. With UNC, you have star depth (even the best walk-ons in the nation), and they are all very well coached and play hard behind the leadership of Tyler Hansbrough. Not only that, but the 2008-2009 men’s basketball season hasn’t had the speed on offense that it did last year, that UNC has this year.
