The 2008 NCAA Football Season Ends

BCS

Another crazy ass football season ends and I’m left with more free time. Florida wins the title and Utah gets the shaft, sort of.

I don’t want to debate whether they should be ranked #1 or not. We all know who the best team on the field was and they celebrated last night.

Did Utah belong in a BCS game? Yes, they definitely did. That’s what we know and stipulating any further will just probably cause head trauma.

Did they belong in the title game, just because they didn’t lose? Does it matter now? They made a great case for themselves if they go undefeated next year and if they make the run again, I bet they enter the discussion. Here’s a hint for Utah’s AD: if you want to play in the big game, play a better out of conference schedule! OK, Michigan was supposed to be better and TCU was good, but you needed someone else. Being in such a weak conference, all of your out of conference should be good teams. But then, they might not go undefeated.

So, now that’s over, why don’t you test your football knowledge on this fun quiz from our friends at Yardbarker.

Posting too fast? it didn’t post at all

Dude, Utah played UCLA (from the PAC-10) earlier this year and destroyed them. They can’t book Texas, Florida and USC in the same season.
