F-listed Picks the BCS Title Game

When I first called my bookie for this game, I ended up betting on the Duke vs. Davidson basketball game last night. I just couldn’t make up my mind.

I know that these games come down to coaching, discipline, and star players, but that still leaves you in limbo. I think Bob Stoops is a slightly better coach. As for discipline, both teams are tops in the nation and are both experienced in big games. When it comes to players, there are two Heisman winners, a ton of offensive firepower and defensive playmakers on both teams. Where does that leave me? Match-ups.

Tebow faces a tough defense, but you know he will see his 2-3 touchdows, regardless. Florida scored like crazy down the stretch against great SEC defenses.

Sam Bradford is, of course, worthy of  a lot of concern as well. Best quarterback in the nation? No, but he is a good leader.

I have seen every UF and OU game this year, I’ve watched their big games and their losses twice. One thing is apparent: you can’t look to far in the past. One thing that does stand out is that OU has played every game this year strong, whereas Florida stumbled early and played a bad game against Ole Miss.

So, although I still don’t seem to have made up my mind, I really have. It has been made all along. I think that with a demoralizing pick-6 from the Florida secondary, Florida enters the 2nd half up only 3 points, 17-14.

In the 2nd quarter, I see OU scoring early and late, but not in between, which will be the difference. Florida scores 3 times in the 2nd half, and wins, 38-31.
