Darin I TOTALLY agree…there really has to be a happy medium and that’s a challenge with someone extremely career driven. There are definitely extreme people out there. I’m just saying it’s very attractive for a man to be mature, grounded and pursuing goals. I am the kind of woman that enjoys the simple things like cooking and eating dinner together….so I can appreciate your point of view.

Tracy, I appreciate the message you are getting across here, and you are absolutely correct about the generally lazy population of Men in this country today.

However, my perspective on an “ambitious” man with money is; He’s not going to have time to focus on YOU, while he’s out there achieving his “dreams.” At what point do you become another “thing” he’s achieved, and crossed off his list?

I guess it all depends on what you are looking for in a significant other, but I personally don’t want someone so hell bent on a career, they are prepared to cast me aside when it becomes “inconvenient” for them, you know?

tracy, i couldn’t have said it better myself! I really hope that men read your column (it’s ok if you have to read it multiple times in order to understand/grasp the knowledge that tracy is droppin’, no one’s looking). I can’t tell you how attractive it is for a man to have AMBITION and how unattractivve it is for a man to be broke and not shut the fuck up about it!!!
