Natalie Portman was spotted with her new folk rock singer-songwriter boyfriend Devendra Banhart in New York City’s West Village yesterday. Not only do I love Natalie Portman, but I love Devandra Banhart, too.

His playful music reminds me of Jonathan Richman. Boys, say what you will, but this is one union that I’m all smiles about. This is a couple made in pretentious indie-kid heaven and I have no shame in saying that.

Portman will star in the video for Banhart’s “Carmensita”, a track from his 2007 album Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon.
