Reporter Ines Sainz Accepts Jets' Apology For 'Grotesque Behavior'
Whoa now Woody Johnson, was it really grotesque? This whole thing has me kind of confused, even more so after the knee-jerk apology the Jets sent Ines Sainz way. Find out more after the jump.
Spanish reporter Ines Sainz was not pleased with the behavior of Jets’ players when she hit up practice to interview QB Mark Sanchez. Between throwing balls in her direction and breaking out good, old fashioned catcalls, the Jets landed on Ines’ sh*tlist pretty quick…and for good reason. Ines quickly tweeted about her unfortunate experiences and her complaints were heard loud and clear. Ultimately team owner Woody Johnson apologized for his team’s behavior and promised that his players would be schooled in how to interact appropriately with the media.
Ok, so I think everyone learned a valuable lesson here, but I’m going to piss off a lot of feminists by saying that Ines was being slightly ridiculous. Complaining about how she is being objectified and disrespected by the Jets,’ Ines’ first response is to tweet a picture of her ass (see below)? That’s not to say that female sports reporters should hide their personality, but also understand the implications of how you present yourself when you’re around a bunch of hormone-driven men.

Dressed hot or not, These guys are NOT in high school anymore. You don’t act that way in the front office or the locker room. Save the wolf calls & stuff for the shower or off hours. She may be Eye candy, but she’s a reporter first. So teat her like she was a Male media guy. As for Miss Sainz being there in the first place? I don’t know who started this sports trend. Back in the day, they put the ex jock like Irv Cross or Lynn Swann on the side line. Then I guess to be more diverse, we needed to add a female in the mix to add to the show. Honestly, Her and the Erin Andrews of the world really are not need to watch a football game.
