Drive-In 'Sex Boxes' Proposed To Give Swiss Prostitutes More Privacy

Strangely enough some people aren’t enamored with the idea of witnessing fellatio or another sex act right outside their window. So police in Zurich’s red light district have come up with a creative solution: erecting metal fences to block prostitutes at work from view. ‘Sex boxes’ have already been used in the German cities of Essen and Cologne and seem to be one way of striking a balance between prostitutes who are simply hard at work and those who might not appreciate their commitment to their jobs quite as much. Police spokesman Reto Casanova seems to think that this is probably one of the better solutions:

‘We can’t get rid of prostitution, so have to learn how to control it.’

Now my only contention here is if you’re going to make these ladies work in boxes, with no decent view, I hope you have every intention of gussying up the place a bit. A few pillows here and there, maybe a throw rug, some furry handcuffs…you know, make the place a little more homey.
