Sextoid Of The Day: Wearing Red Gets Her Very, Very Excited

A new study says that men who wear red are more likely to attract the ladies. I guess that means your wardrobe is about to change. Find out more after the jump.

Researchers enlisted the help of 288 female and 25 male undergraduates to look at photos of a man in a digitally-red shirt or another color. When asked to describe how they perceived the man in red, women were more likely to say something along the lines of him being more powerful or sexually desirable than the man in another color shirt. One of the study’s authors, Andrew Elliot said:

“We found that women view men in red as higher in status, more likely to make money and more likely to climb the social ladder. And it’s this high-status judgment that leads to the attraction.”

Wow, way to say that women are social climbers, but anyway at least this gives dudes some direction next time they’re looking to pick out some new threads.
