There is a study out there called “Determination of Human Penile Electrical Resistance and Implication on Safety for Electrosurgery of Penis.” I think it suffices to say that title is a little bit scary. Find out what exactly they’re testing after the jump.

A group of scientists in Taiwan wanted to study the effects of electricity on men’s penises. However, they had a little difficulty finding willing test subjects, so they opted to perform their experiments on themselves (now that’s commitment). Now obviously the first question is why anyone would ever want to know the effects of electricity on their junk. Well, apparently similar procedures are used frequently for circumcisions and other normal practices. So the research team wanted to find out to what extent these practices should be used. Their verdict: shocking your schlong could do a little damage to erectile function.

Really?!? I never would have guessed.
