Toolish Comment Of The Day: 'I Think If I Thought Like You I’d Kill Myself.'

Well I guess if our career sucked even half as much as M. Night Shymalan‘s we’d be pretty pissed too. The director recently snapped at a reporter who dared to raise the issue of M. Night’s terrible track record at the box office recently. The reporter bravely said:

“You had a very strong start of your career with The Sixth Sense. Your movies have been very personal. However, the audience has lost its faith in your work, with Lady in the Water and many of your more recent productions. Airbender feels like you want to captivate the audiences again by becoming more commercial. Am I right?”

That wasn’t going to fly with M. Night:

“I think if I thought like you I’d kill myself.”

“Everything you said is the opposite of my instinct as an artist. The way you just thought, I literally would kill myself.”

Gotta give the guy credit for standing up for himself. Hopefully his next few movies justify his little temper tantrum.
