Q: Is it painful for women to have sex while menstruating?

A: Whether or not it hurts a woman to have sex while menstruating changes from female to female. While some women experience excruciating cramping, in addition to nonstop b*tching and whining, some women actually become hornier than normally.

That being said, a woman who is experiencing severe cramping may be in pain during intercourse. However, there are those whose menstrual cramps are actually alleviated as a result of sexual intercourse.

Orgasms release endorphins that can act as a natural mood enhancer, which can help alleviate cramps, headaches, and irritability sometimes associated with a woman’s period. Also, women tend to enjoy sex more while they are menstruating as a result of a woman’s increased sensitivity in the pelvic region.

It should be noted that, while many a women’s clitoris may experience increased sensitivity, deeper penetration can be very painful. As a result of which, oral sex is sometimes an option. And while it is entirely safe to for you and your partner to have oral sex while on your period, menstrual blood may contain STD bacteria or viruses, so it is imperative that the female uses protection. A dental dam is highly recommended.

If you’re lucky enough to have a girl who becomes hornier, and you’re man enough to handle Aunt-Flo, then by all means… go for it! Sex while on her period can be very satisfying for the both of you if done properly.

Safety first! Before any penetration actually happens it is imperative that the man puts on a condom. Personally speaking, I do not find the idea of having sexual intercourse while on my period particularly attractive. Furthermore, it is extremely painful for me. The shame in that is that I become extremely horny. Luckily for me, I have found a loophole: masterbation! That’s right, penetration might hurt, but flicking one’s bean while on our periods can give us females some of the best orgasms of our lives.

If a male is considering having sex with his women while on her period, I strongly advise you discuss it with her before hand. This can be a very messy situation and you want to be clear on the terms. Relationships are supposed to be open, honest, and intimate.
