Spirit Airlines Manages To Sex-ify The BP Oil Spill

Way to go Spirit Airlines! Continuing with its tradition of doing anything and everything unsavory to push plan tickets, they’ve turned their sights on mocking the recent BP oil spill. Good job guys. i’m sure you’re going to score a whole new lot of friends with this. Find out more after the jump.

The ad features beautiful bikini-clad women around a the words “check out the oil on our beaches.” It also features bottles of sunscreen with the letters “B” and “P” highlighted in yellow on a green background. The ad also gives customers $50 of their purchase (that totally makes up for the oil-covered geese they’re poking fun at). It’s no surprise that Spirit Airlines would do something outlandish, but this idea may have been just a little too soon for it to really be funny. I’m going to deem this Spirit Airlines equals fail.
